Janet Canales, age 77, of Adrian, passed away at her residence, under the care of Hospice of Lenawee. She was born in Stockbridge, MI on August 19, 2024, the daughter of the late William W. and Rose (Virden) Coleman. Janet worked several jobs, most notably as a cashier at Family Dollar until her retirement. She was a social butterfly, being able to make friends with anyone. Janet loved her coffee, collecting angels, shopping, baking and showing cars.
Surviving Janet are her siblings, William (Donna) Coleman, Robert (Carol) Coleman, Russell (Brenda) Coleman, Ellanor Baker, Vivian Cooper, and Rose Mills. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Violet Sayers and Mary Bornson.
The family will receive visitors at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home in Adrian on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, at which time funeral services will take place. Rev. William VanValkenburg will officiate. Interment will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian.
