Marilyn Ann Phelps, age 93 years, of Adrian, died Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility in Adrian. She was born October 6, 1930, in La Crosse, Wisconsin to Lawrence and Anna (Anderson) Puent. On May 17, 1952, she married Thomas Phelps in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death.
Marilyn had been employed as a secretary for Danville Schools, District #118. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed painting with watercolors and oil.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Sandy (Wesley) Jones, Scott Phelps, Sharon Phelps, Stephen (Kathy) Phelps, and Stuart (Kathryn) Phelps; two brothers, Donald (Jean) Puent and David (Wanda) Puent; twelve grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband, Thomas, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Puent.
The Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Tom Helfrich, OSFS as celebrant, to be followed by cremation. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery of La Crosse. Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service.
