Dawn Renea Adams, age 53, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at home with her family at her side. She was born on June 19, 1971, in Washington, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Dennis F. Rager and Susanne (Poley) Page. Dawn graduated from Henderson Nevada High School in 1989 and worked as a baker for the next twenty-five years. On June 25, 1994, she married Patrick Adams in Tecumseh, MI, and they enjoyed 30 years together.
Dawn loved reading, music, rescuing animals, and always had craft time planned with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She also enjoyed movie nights with them.
In addition to her husband, Dawn is survived by; her son John Adams II; sister-in-law, Kerry Adams; and grandchildren, Khila, John III, Kenzey, Ethan, Maddison, Justyce, Reign, Harmony, Jane and Willow. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence and Grace Poley of Tecumseh, and her grandson, Lorenzo.
A special thank you is given to Kerry, Felicia and Candace for caring for Dawn during her final days. The family would also like to thank Elara Caring Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
Visitation for Dawn will be from 4 pm – 8 pm on Monday, August 5, 2024 at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Funeral services will take place at 11 am, Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at the funeral home, with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, in Tecumseh. The family asks that in honor of Dawn’s love for music and going to concerts, that those attending the funeral service wear a singer, band, or concert T-Shirt. Per Dawn’s final wishes, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Lenawee Humane Society.
