
Marie Regalado, age 81, of Adrian, died Friday, July 26, 2024, at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. She was born July 16, 1943, in Bay City, MI, to the late Dolores and Mary (Valdez) Hernandez.
Marie lived her entire life in Adrian and worked at the ACME Preserve for over 30 years until its closure in the late 1990’s. She married the love of her life, Ricardo V. Regalado on November 16, 1968, in Adrian. Together they raised six children and celebrated nearly 56 cherished years as husband and wife.
Remembered as a phenomenal wife, mother, and grandma, Marie exemplified the loving and nurturing qualities of a devoted caregiver to her family. She loved watching movies, in particular horror films or Lifetime network dramas. She enjoyed collecting roosters and chickens, and shopping at craft shows and farmers markets. Marie loved to consume anything sweet, and always looked forward to an opportunity to go out to eat. Not a shy bone in her body, she was very outgoing and loved to socialize. Her selfless, accepting and generous personality made an impact on many, and she will be greatly missed.
Surviving is her husband, Ricardo; six children, Roland Regalado of Adrian, Brian Regalado (Kellie Philo) of Adrian, Lori Regalado (The Late Ismael Acevedo) of Woodstock, IL, Mark (Maribel) Regalado of Adrian, Alicia (Jose) Mendez of Adrian, and Melissa Regalado (Jaret Kilpatrick of Adrian; four siblings, Connie (Clifford) Hernandez Soto-Kingsley of Adrian, Rudolph Hernandez of Brazil, Esther (Pete) Carr of Adrian, and Antonio “Tim” (Courtney) Hernandez of Adrian; 23 grandchildren, Shante, Torrey, Keelii, Andrew, Chris, Jenna, Vanessa, Brianna, Alex, Amber, Lydia, Mark Jr., Salvadore, Phoenix, Austin, Arianna, Arielle, Adrien, Jose, Achie, Cheyenne, Avery, and Jestin; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Merced “Joe” Hernandez.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Adrian, on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from Noon until a service begins at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian.
