Adrian, MI – The Adrian City Commission has an item on their regular agenda for their meeting tonight to purchase property on North Winter street from Adrian Development Collaborative, LLC.
The Commission will consider the purchase agreement of $500,000 to buy the properties along North Winter Street, including the former Daily Telegram building and properties to the north including 155, 205, and 213 North Winter Street.
The resolution before the commission tonight says that the properties have been condemned and are considered blight.
The resolution also states that the City Administrator and Economic Development Coordinator/Main Street Director recommend applying for a $500,000 Environmental Justice Impact Grant…which does not require the City to provide matching funds.
There are two resolutions on the consent agenda tonight… one is to authorize the City to apply for the $500,000 grant, the second is to ratify the purchase agreement for those properties on North Winter Street.
The Adrian City Commission will meet tonight at 6pm in the City Commission Chambers…and on Zoom.
