
Carol Sue Suchman, age 66, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 29, 2024, at her home. She was born April 16, 1958, in Norfolk, VA. She lived her early life in Virginia, where she met the love of her life, US Naval serviceman Thomas William Suchman, a native of Adrian. They married on July 16, 1980, in Elizabeth City, NC.
Carol worked for over 12 years at Autokiniton of Blissfield and most recently worked at Dollar Tree in Adrian until medical retirement was necessary. She was a former member of Jasper Bible Church. Possessing artistic talent, Carol found great pleasure in sewing garments and household items, crafting ornaments and candles, making diamond art, and decorating for every holiday. She was also renowned for her baking and had a collection of hundreds of cake pans. She also had a vast supply of Indian and wolf collectibles, and loved to find good deals at yard sales. She enjoyed reading novels by V.C. Andrews and Stephen King. She is remembered for her shy demeanor and sweet ways, a woman who would go to great lengths to selflessly care for others.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of nearly 44 years, Tom, are their five children, John Suchman (Jessica Johnson) of Adrian, Michael Suchman of Adrian, Tabitha Suchman (fiancé Ben Phillips) of Adrian, Patricia Suchman of Brookhaven, MS, and Cassandra (Leo) James of Adrian; 23 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mabel Bowen; and her grandmother who raised her, Frances White.
Cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the home of her son, 1070 Moore Rd., Adrian.
