
Christopher Bolt, age 41, of Saline, Michigan, formerly of Tecumseh, Michigan,
passed away June 20, 2024 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan.
He was born May 10, 1983, in Ann Arbor, MI, the son of Ken Limberg and Agnes (Teunessen) Bolt.
Chris was a graduate of Tecumseh High School, Class of 2001. He was also a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, with Bachelors Degrees in Engineering and Biology. Chris was a passionate auto racing enthusiast, and devoted member of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). His enthusiasm for auto racing led him to become an active member of the Detroit and Northwest Ohio Region SCCA where he competed in auto racing. Chris showcased not only his skill behind the wheel, but also enjoyed his camaraderie with fellow drivers and other auto enthusiasts. He had a love of the outdoors from an early age which led him to join Boy Scouts of America and he earned a double Eagle Scout. Chris was previously employed with Roush Industries of Dearborn, MI, retiring in 2020, to manage his investments and real estate holdings. He enjoyed traveling with his family throughout the United States, including many National Parks. Chris traveled to Europe with his family and had an opportunity to race and drive with his nephews at the track in Nurburgring, Germany. In addition to auto racing, he loved to spend time with friends and family, outdoor activities, and working on cars and home improvement projects.
He is survived by his mother, Agnes Bolt of Tecumseh, MI: sister, Beverly (Matthew) Soave of
Fowlerville, MI; Walter (Dr. Marnie Grant) Bolt of Chelsea, MI; nieces and nephews, John, Joseph, and Maria, Jacob, John, Rebecca, Joshua, Michael, and Gabrielle; and his loyal and faithful, Golden Retriever, “Buddy”.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ken Limberg.
Funeral Mass will take place 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at
St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Tecumseh, Michigan, with Rev. Fr. Daniel Wheeler officiating.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Purse Martinez Funeral Home, Tecumseh, Michigan and from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral mass at the church on Tuesday.
