Local Congressman Supported Servicemembers Quality of Life Improvement & NDA Act

Washington, D.C. – Local Congressman Tim Walberg recently voted in support of House Resolution 8070, the Servicemembers Quality Of Life Improvement and National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025, which included four amendments authored by Walberg. He had this to say soon after the resolution passed…

 

His amendments include:

  • Requiring the Department of Defense to conduct a study on the effects on the national security of the United States of highly automated vehicles associated with foreign adversary countries operating and testing in the United States.
  • Requiring the Director of Defense Education Activity to publish policy guidance prohibiting the use of TikTok for instructional purposes at schools operated by the DODEA.
  • Requiring an annual report from D.O.D on the number of attempts illegal aliens make to get onto military bases.
  • Requiring a report from the Department of Defense on their efforts to help the Department of Homeland Security secure the northern border.
