Brian Royce Holder, age 42, of Onsted, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at his home. Born November 17, 1981, in Ypsilanti, he was the younger of two sons of Billy and Jean (Wilson) Holder. Brian graduated with the Class of 2000 from Tecumseh High School and later attended Baker College in Owosso and Jackson Community College. He lived his entire life in the area.
Possessing a strong work ethic, Brian was always gainfully employed and was a great provider and father. He worked for many years at TWB Company in Monroe, and most recently installed automotive lifts for Allied Incorporated. He was a longtime member of Bethel Church in Manchester. A lover of the woods, Brian enjoyed trips to the Upper Peninsula, target shooting, fishing, tent camping, and bonfires. He was an avid gun collector, and enjoyed cooking and playing cards. He loved being the life of the party, and above all else, being in the company of his family and friends provided him the most pleasure.
Surviving are his parents, Bill and Jean Holder of Clinton; his fiancé whom he proposed to on June 1, Jessica Richardson of Onsted; children at home whom he adored, Orin and Aiva; his brother, Jason Holder (Jennifer Kerr) of Adrian; nephews, Benjamin and Colten Holder, and Alex Kerr; niece, Annabelle Kerr; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who have become family. Brian also leaves behind his beloved canine companion, Paul Harvey.
Greeting him in Heaven were his maternal grandparents, Russell and Jeanette Wilson; paternal grandparents, J.D. Holder and Helen Holder-Demske; and his best friend, Chris Moore.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for Brian will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the Anderson-Marry Funeral Home, Tecumseh. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday evening, from 6-8 p.m., as well as on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the service.
