Nancy Jane (Waldron) Hutchison, age 86, of Adrian, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 17, 2024.
Nancy was born in Lyons, Ohio, “above the depot” on February 24, 1938, the daughter of Boyd and Eva (Snyder) Waldron. She spent much of her early life in the area raising her girls.
Nancy married Larry Hutchison in August of 1984 and their adventurous spirit took them on quite a journey. They have lived in Indianapolis, Detroit, returning to Forrister Road (Adrian), heading south to Florida, returning to the Midwest in Decatur, IL; and finally returning to Adrian where they settled in later years.
In all the various cities, she found joy in her music and bringing people together to share in music. Nancy started several of her own bands and joined a few bands too. Whether it was singing, playing piano, banjo, guitar or trumpet, if it was music she could play it.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry, of almost 40 years; sister, Merila Jean Guilford; daughters, Robin (Brent) Allen, Heidi Baum Sturgeon, Carrie (HL) Baum Green and Buffy Hutchison (Erik Nelson); grandchildren, Cody Allen, Christopher Snyder, Danielle Green, Ravon (Scott) Luma and Jacob (Danielle) Cross; and 5 great-grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Ann Allman and son-in-law, Steve Sturgeon.
Nancy found great joy in spending time with her family and friends; the love of both led to even more extensive travels. All things considered, Nancy lived a very full and joyous life.
Following Nancy’s wishes cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
