Linda Lucille Goodrich, age 66, of Tecumseh passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Trinity Health-St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She was born September 15, 1957 in Tecumseh, the daughter of Kenneth Marvin and Marilyn Joyce (Relyea) Myers. In June of 1975 she married John Goodrich and they shared 48 years together.
Linda was raised in Butterfield, MI and attended grade school in Merritt and high school in Lake City. After her marriage, she and John lived in a number of places in Michigan, including Lake City, Pontiac, and Tecumseh, before buying a home in the early 1980’s and settling in Britton MI. She was self-employed as a housekeeper for many years before working at Shar Products, where she continued until her medical retirement.
Linda loved looking back and enjoying her life memories. Some of her favorites were playing in the barnyard, riding her bike down the big hill to her grandparents’ store, and riding snowmobiles with her family. She loved any and all pretty stones, especially Petosky and pudding stones. But one memory that especially stands out, and impacted not only her, but her children, was the fact that she loved Pink Floyd. She was able to go to the Division Bell concert at the Silverdome in 1994. It was without a doubt her favorite adventure. Linda and her husband John also enjoyed road trips to Florida to visit family.
Linda is survived by her husband, John Goodrich; her mother, Marilyn Joyce Myers; her sons, Lucas Goodrich and Joshua (Kristi Clark) Goodrich; her grandchildren, Joslynn Goodrich, and Kaitlynn Goodrich; her siblings, Gary (Rose Sublet) Myers, Cheryl Ann Winnick, Marjorie Ruth (Stacy) Wagner, and Kenneth Ray Myers; her aunts, Marjorie Relyea and Marilyn Myers; and many beloved in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Goodrich; father, Kenneth Myers; aunt, Darlene Feldkamp; father in-law, Claude Goodrich; mother in-law, Beatrice Goodrich; and many other wonderful in-laws with whom she was close to.
In accordance to Linda’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at the Merritt Auction House, in Merritt Mi, on June 29th from 12-3pm.
