Rodger Gallaway, age 65, of Deerfield passed away Monday, June 10, 2024 surrounded by his family. Rodger was born August 6, 1958 in Texas City, Texas to Joe and Mary (Gann) Gallaway. Rodger served in the Navy from 1977 to 1986 and later joined the Army National Guard from 1986 to 1998. On April 13, 1991 Rodger married the love of his life Debra Schadewald in Tecumseh, Michigan and she survives. Rodger worked for 25 years for Sheridan Books.
Rodger enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially cooking and BBQing for them. Deer hunting and watching NASCAR especially with his NASCAR buddy Ryan going to different races together. Rodger loved to spend time with his two cats Oliver and Gabe.
In addition to his wife Debra, Rodger is survived by his children; Debbie Gallaway (Chad), Steven (Carmen) Gallaway, and Tina (Chris) Hubbard; one brother, Clifford (Cindy) Gallaway; sister-in-laws Charlotte Gallaway, Wanda Gallaway, and Lani Gallaway; Grandchildren; D’Anna, Danille, Dakota, Aireyna, Stephaine, Steven Jr., Charolette, Maddie, Beverly, Aiden, and Adyln; and great-grandchild; Marley. Rodger is preceded in death by his Parents, also Alton, Bobby, Beverly Mauldin (John), Denny (Rosie) Darrell, and Leldon.
A Celebration of Life for Rodger will take place June 14, 2024 at 4:00 pm at the AMVET Post 1957, 122 N. Main St Adrian, MI 49221. You may send condolences to the family at www.andersonfuneralservices.com. In Lieu of flowers any monetary donations can be made to the family for expenses.
