Debora Jean Monagin age 60 of Tecumseh passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. She was born July 30, 1963 in Tecumseh the daughter of the late Myrlen Loree and Ellen Mae (Eberline) Moore. On August 3, 2019 she married John Monagin in Tecumseh and he preceded her in death on May 21, 2021.
Debbie was retired from the Evangelical Home in Saline. She was a member of the Ridgeway Church of the Nazarene’s sewing bee and the crocheting group at the Tecumseh District Library. Debbie enjoyed being outdoors camping, hiking, kayaking, bicycling, gardening and traveling. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Debbie is survived by her siblings, Ronald (Stephanie) Moore of Jacksonville, FL, Kathleen Stretch of Tecumseh, Mary Carlton of Onsted, Patricia (Doug) Armstrong of Britton and Donald Moore of Dundee; mother-in-law, Marge Monagin of Tecumseh; sisters-in-law, Madi Moore, Lori Monagin and Jennifer Stull all of Tecumseh; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and her husband, John she was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and Charles Moore, step-father, Gladwin Spohr, father-in-law, Dale Monagin and brother-in-law, Dale Carlton.
There will be a memorial gathering for Debbie on Wednesday June 19, 2024 from 3pm-8pm at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler Funeral Homes. Inurnment will be in Macon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lenawee Humane Society.
