Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Solid Waste says that the recent Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day yielded over 80,000 pounds from Lenawee residents.
Solid Waste Program Coordinator Julie Maurer thanked Wacker Chemical and Anderson Development for their role in the collection event.
If you missed the household hazardous waste collection, Maurer says that items like certain pesticides, batteries, and fluorescent light bulbs could be saved until the next community collection… or be dropped off at area facilities.
Lenawee County does not collect household hazardous waste, so residents have to consider other options for its disposal.

Maurer says that if you don’t want to make the drive out of the county, try to find a place, if possible, to safely tuck away your household hazardous waste items until next spring’s event.
