
Williams County, OH – Alcohol is suspected as a factor in a Williams County, Ohio fatal crash over the weekend. The Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the two-vehicle crash that occurred just after 7:30pm Sunday night at the intersection of County Road K and County Road 17.
The Post is reporting that a 36-year-old Edon man was traveling in a 2019 Ford Ranger, and collided with a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox driven by a 72-year-old Bryan man.
The 36-year-old failed to stop at a stop sign, and was struck by the 72-year-old. His truck overturned into a creek…and he was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as Steven Thompson. His passenger, a 34-year-old Montpelier man, was transported by LifeFlight to a Toledo Hospital with serious injuries.
