Adrian, MI – The Adrian City Commission held a public forum at the Merchant’s Building Monday night for residents impacted by odors being emitted by Crimson Holdings.
The egg processing facility has been ordered by Lenawee County District Court Judge Laura J. Schaedler to pay $100,000 to Adrian residents in the area. The Commissioners wanted to hear from the community about what to do with the funds. Around 3,000 notices were mailed to residents within about a half mile radius of the facility about the public forum. About 50 people were in attendance.
A few ideas were pitched, including simply dividing the money among the residents near Crimson, improving sidewalks, installing ‘smell monitors’ in the area, and holding on to it for a future use. Adrian City Administrator Greg Elliott spoke with WLEN News about the feedback received and what the Commission will do next…
Lenawee TV recorded the meeting at the Merchant’s Building. There were no microphones to amplify the audio in the building, so the quality is not the best: https://c.themediacdn.com/link/http/Wds3Uy/igDuVOrs2he/OIYCygs7uiR_1
