Morenci Issues Boil Water Advisory for Residents West of Bean Creek

Tuesday Afternoon Update: DPW Supervisor Ted Hutchison has extended the boil water advisory to encompass the entire City of Morenci. During this time, residents may experience a loss of water supply. For those with electric water heaters, it’s recommended to turn off the power during this time. Drinking and cooking water should be boiled for at least five minutes before it is used. If the water is used for drinking purposes, it should be allowed to cool in a sealed container. Morenci, MI – Department of Public Works Supervisor Ted Hutchison has issued a boil water advisory until further notice for all residents in City limits who live west of Bean Creek.

Drinking and cooking water should be boiled for at least five minutes before it is used. If the water is used for drinking purposes, it should be allowed to cool in a sealed container. Bacterial testing of the system will be completed according to EGLE quality standards prior to lifting the boil water order.
