
Wood County, OH – Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Bowling Green Post responded to a three-vehicle crash that occurred on Interstate 75 in Wood County Wednesday afternoon.
A 24-year-old of Bowling Green was driving a 2004 Volkswagen Beetle southbound on Interstate 75 in the middle lane. A 42-year-old from Wisconsin was driving a 2021 Freightliner semi tractor-trailer combination southbound on Interstate 75 in the right lane.
A 27-year-old from Toledo was driving a 2012 Ford Escape southbound on Interstate 75 in the left lane. The Toledo driver changed lanes abruptly to the right and lost control of his vehicle. They struck the side of the trailer, and then struck the other vehicle. Both Ohio drivers went off the left side of the roadway and struck the median cable. The Toledo driver overturned onto its side.
The 27-year-old was transported to Perrysburg Mercy Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Toledo driver was not wearing his seatbelt at the time… the other two involved driver were wearing their seatbelt.
