Adrian, MI – City of Adrian Police have arrested an Adrian and Detroit man in connection to the death of a 27-year-old Detroit man in the City of Adrian in February.
The APD reports that the suspects are 47-year-old Kenyatto Sylvertooth (left), a resident of Detroit, and 18-year-old Gage Winsett (right), a resident of Adrian.
Police say that the murder of 27-year-old Jonathon Marquise Simmons occurred February 13th, 2023 on Frank St near Tecumseh St in Adrian.
Both defendants have been arraigned in 2-A District Court, and are charged with a single count each of Homicide – Open Murder, Firearms – Discharge from Vehicle Causing Death, and Felony Firearms.
Both defendants are being held at the Lenawee County Jail without bond.
Adrian Police were assisted in the investigation by Adrian Township Police, the Michigan State Police, the Detroit Police Department, the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, the Michigan Department of Corrections, and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.
