Monroe, MI – A Monroe County man knew he was a Fantasy 5 jackpot winner as soon as he saw the numbers online.
71-year-old John Sancrant matched the Fantasy 5 numbers in the June 26th drawing to win the big prize: 02-07-22-26-30. He bought his winning ticket at Frenchtown Cheers, located at 1837 N. Monroe Street in Monroe.
“I play Fantasy 5 regularly and always pick my numbers based on birth dates,” said Sancrant. “I had just finished dinner and looked at the numbers. As soon as I saw them, I knew I had won. I didn’t even have to get the ticket to double check!
“I have had pretty good luck playing lottery. This is the fourth big prize I have won and they keep getting a little bigger each time. I’m hoping to be back here soon for millions!”
Sancrant visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim his big prize. He plans to save his winnings.
