
Clinton, MI – A storm with strong winds and some reports of hail caused damage to trees and power lines in Lenawee County, and Southeast Michigan.
DTE Energy reported that around 17,000 customers were without power as of early Tuesday night, after the storms rolled through at around 4pm.
Macomb County seemed to be the hardest hit, according to the DTE Outage Map…reporting around 9,500 customers without service just before 8pm.
Spotters submitted information to the National Weather Service in Detroit, saying that a 20-foot pontoon boat flipped on Halfmoon Lake southwest of Pinckney. There also were reports of numerous tree limbs down.
According to the reports, quarter-size hail fell in parts of Lenawee and Tuscola counties.
