Ohio State Highway Patrol Investigating Fatal Crash in Nearby Fulton County

Fulton County, OH – The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash and a crash with life-threatening injuries from the weekend.

A single-vehicle crash occurred early Sunday morning east of the City…in Jerusalem Township. A Harley Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle, operated by a 23-year-old Oregon, Ohio man was driving eastbound on Corduroy Road when the vehicle overturned and went off the left side of the roadway.

The driver was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash.

The fatal crash happened Friday evening in nearby Fulton County. The Post reports that it occurred on County Road 3 south of US 20A.

A Toyota passenger car was traveling north on County Road 3 at an excessive rate of speed when it ran off the left side of the roadway, where it struck a parked van and a utility pole. The car then caught on fire.

The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. A dog survived the crash and was released to the Fulton County Dog Warden.

Both crashes remain under investigation.
