Morenci, MI – Hundreds gathered Saturday night at Wakefield Park in Morenci to remember the life of Cayden Cook, the 16-year-old boy who died in a dirt bike versus car crash last Thursday afternoon.
Cayden was a Junior at Morenci High School, and played basketball for the Bulldogs.
His obituary states that he enjoyed fishing and loved dirt bikes…enjoying hundreds of miles of care-free rides.
Pastors Darren Lemmon with Medina Federated Church and Pastor John Ruse with Seneca Community Church each said a prayer at the vigil.
Visitation for family and friends of Cayden Cook will be held this Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the Eagle-Marry Funeral Home in Morenci.
A funeral service will take place Friday at 1 p.m. at Morenci Area Schools with Pastor Lemmon officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci.
