Tecumseh Twp., MI – A Clinton Township man has died from injuries suffered in a crash Friday afternoon.
According to the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, 75 year old Richard Ivan Bame died from his injuries. Sheriff’s deputies responded Friday at approximately 3:51pm to the area of M-50 and Matthews Highway in Tecumseh Township on a report of a serious crash.
Bame was the driver of the 2002 Ford Ranger who attempted to make a left turn northbound onto Matthews Highway from M-50. Bame apparently turned in front of a pickup heading west on M-50 driven by 21 year old Jackson Garret Bruner from Tipton. Bruner was transported to ProMedica Toledo with serious injuries. Lenawee County Sheriff Troy Bevier stated that there was no further update on Bruner.
Neither driver was wearing seatbelts and it does not appear that drugs or alcohol were a factor.
The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Tecumseh, Adrian, Clinton and Adrian Township Police Departments as well as by the Tecumseh Fire Department, Lenawee Community Ambulance and the Lenawee County Accident Investigation Team.
