Blissfield, MI – Wreaths Across America-Blissfield will gather at Pleasant View Cemetery later this month to lay wreaths on all the graves of fallen veterans in local cemeteries.
A news release sent to WLEN News said that the wreath-laying will take place Saturday, December 17th at noon.
After a short ceremony, over 100 volunteers will place a wreath at each veterans’ grave. At the time of laying of the wreath, the veterans’ names will be said and they will be thanked for their sacrifice.
Wreaths Across America is a national non-profit whose mission is to remember fallen U.S. Veterans, honor those that serve, and teach children the value of freedom.
This is the 5th year that Blissfield has participated. There are about 560 veterans buried in the 3 cemeteries of Blissfield Township.
