Blissfield, MI – The Village of Blissfield Parks and Recreation Department invites residents, businesses, and groups to sponsor and decorate a tree for the holiday season.
In a news release to WLEN News, the Village said that previously, lights had to be solar or battery operated, which people reported to be more expensive and difficult to keep working. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board listened to this feedback and made a change for this year… electricity. Every tree will have an outlet to plug in their lights.
The cost is $80 per tree. Sign up is available now online and at the Village office. A limited number of trees are available.
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is also seeking donations from individuals and businesses to sponsor even more lights, with the goal of eventually illuminating both bridges, the gazebo, and fencing.
Lit trees will be on display from December 9th to January 1st. This year the display will be focused along the curved sidewalk leading up to the pedestrian bridge, with lights also planned for the orange sculpture near US-223.
