Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Board of Commissioners voted to approve a resolution supporting energy efficiency and renewable energy.
The measure was approved by a 6 yes 3 no vote at their regular meeting last week. Terry Collins, Dustin Krasny, and David Stimpson all voted ‘no’ on the resolution.
The resolution said, in part, that “…the Lenawee County Board of Commissioners support energy efficiency and renewable energy sources aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions and reducing demand for energy imports.”
The document also said that the county will continue to respect, encourage, and support agricultural heritage, and the rules and regulations of the local municipalities planning process.
