Adrian, MI – The Adrian Schools Educational Foundation (ASEF) has awarded $98,246 in Classroom and Arts grants to Adrian Public Schools staff for the 2022-23 school year.
A news release by the organization said that the awards focus on classroom materials and other initiatives that go above and beyond the district budget. These grants afford teachers and staff opportunities to incorporate creative methodologies and resources into their teaching, as well as giving students experiential learning experiences.
This year’s awards, funding sixty-four projects, include classroom materials, art room upgrades at Adrian High School, elementary school Science days, and library books. Many projects promote Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM), while others help with literacy and building social skills.
Since its inception 35 years ago, the ASEF has awarded more than $1,000,000 in classroom grants.
