Adrian, MI- There are many questions surrounding the Riverview Terrace Apartments situation in Adrian…and the City Commission took a step towards answering one of them at their pre-meeting study session Monday night.

City Administrator Greg Elliott was seeking direction on what to do next…with the City days away from closing on the purchase of the Adrian Inn for $800,000. The Commission was in favor of signing the paperwork for the building…but had more questions than answers about the long term living arrangements for displaced residents.

Around 200 people were forced to leave their apartments at Riverview Terrace in late July due to substantial structural damage and have been moved around the region multiple times…to local hotels, to even staying in Dundee for two weeks.

Administrator Elliott told WLEN News that some Riverview Terrace residents have already been moving into the Adrian Inn…

WLEN News will have stories on what Commissioners called a ‘humanitarian crisis’ throughout the week.
