Adrian, MI – Valerie Herr has been named Executive Director of the Adrian Center for the Arts by its Board of Trustees.
Valerie comes to the ACA with over 20 years’ experience in non -profit management and a passion for the arts. She will be charged with the day-to-day operations of the ACA and fundraising to carry out a strategic plan.
Lisa Neuman became Executive Director in 2019 and worked with the ACA board to develop policies and procedures for the fledgling art center. She and the board created two working strategic plans over three years to get the ACA on a course for the future. She was instrumental in a recent $300,000 campaign to raise funds for three new fine craft arts studios on the campus.
Neuman’s retirement caps a 35-year career in marketing and fund development for several organizations, all connected in some way to education.
