Hillsdale, MI – A 70-year-old man allegedly shot his 46-year-old neighbor in Hillsdale County’s City of Litchfield.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police Jackson Post were dispatched to an ongoing dispute at around 12:45am this morning.
While enroute, troopers contacted the complainant by phone who advised he thought he shot his neighbor and needed an ambulance. Upon arrival, troopers located a 46 year old with a gunshot wound to the back of the head. Medical aid was provided to the victim by troopers until Reading Ambulance arrived and took over care.
The victim was transported to Henry Ford Allegiance hospital where he is in stable condition. The original caller, the 70-year-old, was subsequently placed under arrest for assault with intent to murder and lodged at the Hillsdale County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
