Brooklyn, MI – After a historic decision made by its Board of Directors, Region 2 Area Agency on Aging is beginning construction on a new office building in Brooklyn.
The Agency’s new office will be a 24,210 square foot, 2-story building with a basement. The entire building will meet accessibility requirements and incorporate Universal Design strategies where feasible to better serve the community.
Included in the space will be a 1,600 square foot community room, many offices and meeting spaces with privacy and security in mind for a growing staff and increasing needs. Construction is expected to be completed by April 2023.
Region 2 Area Agency on Aging was established in 1974 and is a not-for-profit agency serving older adults and adults with disabilities in Lenawee, Hillsdale, and Jackson Counties.
