Adrian, MI – The City of Adrian says that there will be no charges to drivers whose vehicles were towed from parking lots that were being paved in downtown this past weekend.

In a post on the City’s social media, the city said that although a press release was sent to local media last week, as well as to downtown property and business owners, there was no signage posted in the lots regarding the closure.

They said that this was an error on the city’s part, and will be corrected in the future. Also, no vehicles will be towed from a city street or city owned parking lot unless notice of closure has been posted for at least 24 hours.

With regard to vehicles that were moved from one lot to another this weekend, the City of Adrian says that there will be no charges assessed to vehicle owners. Any charges for towing will be paid for by the city…and if any vehicle owners receive a bill for towing, contact the city.
