Adrian, MI – The Michigan Department of Transportation bridge bundling pilot project continues…with another one completed and Sand Creek Highway construction still scheduled for this August.
This year’s bridge bundling pilot project is repairing 19 bridges in serious or critical condition that are owned by local agencies. Each bridge will have its superstructure replaced, which includes full removal and replacement of the bridge deck and supporting beams.
The pilot project is funded by Federal Highway Improvement Program dollars.
The only Lenawee County bridge on the list for 2022 is the Sand Creek Highway bridge…scheduled to start on August 1st and last 90 days.
In Hillsdale County, the Squawfield Road bridge will be fixed starting June 15th.
Phase Two of the project includes four Lenawee bridges… Townline Highway, Dillon Highway, and two on Mulberry Road. Those are to be replaced in Fiscal Year 2024.
