Somerset Twp., MI – The Somerset Township Police has reported that a 16-year-old was shot and killed Saturday night.
Chief Keith Bancroft told WLEN News in an email that the incident occurred at around 7pm on Mills Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, it was discovered that a 16-year-old male had been shot and was in critical condition. The teen, and an adult male, were transported to Henry Ford Allegiance Health Center by Somerset Township and Addison EMS. The 16-year-old was pronounced dead at the Health Center.
An arrest has been made in the case, and Chief Bancroft says that it appears to be an isolated incident.
The shooting is still under investigation.
