Adrian, MI – The Adrian City Commission voted 6-0 in favor of a resolution pertaining to the proposed multi-million dollar ‘Lenawee Community Complex’…commonly referred to as ‘Project Phoenix’…which did not support a position either for or against the endeavor.

With Adrian Mayor Angie Heath not in attendance, WLEN News asked Mayor Pro-Tem Allen Heldt about why the Commission did not take a stance…either way…

Tecumseh Mayor Jack Baker, who was in attendance to show support for the project, gave his reaction to the vote…

Lenawee County Administrator Kim Murphy addressed the fact that many at the meeting, and in the public, felt that transparency was lacking from the County’s side of things…

During a public comment session, Lenawee County Commissioner Terry Collins…who represents the western part of the City of Adrian… said that he does not support ‘Project Phoenix.’ Back in October, Collins voted in favor of purchasing the Tecumseh property.
