Adrian, MI – The restitution amount to be paid by a former Clinton Community Schools Band Boosters Treasurer who pleaded guilty to embezzling funds could not be completed Tuesday, and there will be a second hearing later this month.
Nanette Stewart was in the courtroom of Lenawee County Circuit Judge Anna Marie Anzalone for the hearing, which will need more time to be resolved.
She was accused of embezzling over $100,000 from the Clinton Community Schools band.
Nanette Stewart pleaded guilty to one count of Embezzlement – Agent or Trustee $1,000 or more, but less than $20,000. Two other felony counts against Stewart are planned to be dismissed at sentencing.
The second restitution hearing has been scheduled for 9:30am February 25th.
