Onsted, MI – A portion of water customers on the Village of Onsted water system are currently under a Boil Water Advisory until at least Wednesday.
Due to a Main break in the Village of Onsted water supply on north Maple Street, bacterial contamination may have occurred. Customers that are affected are on Maple Street from Second Street south to Fourth Street… on both the East and West side of the road.
Village Clerk Robert Wright told WLEN News in an email that this does not affect any other businesses, residences, restaurants or the Onsted Community Schools.
Corrective measures are being undertaken to correct the situation. Wright also says that all customers affected will receive a hand delivered notice.
The Village anticipates that the earliest lift of the Boil Water Advisory will be Wednesday, January 5th.
