
Adrian, MI – A local biology professor and world-renowned entomologist passed away last week. 90 year old Dr. Robert Husband of Adrian passed away at the Cambrian Assisted Living in Tecumseh.
Dr. Husband received his PhD in Zoology in 1966 from Michigan State University and worked as a biology professor at Adrian College. He was also a world-renowned entomologist specializing in mites.
He discovered over 140 species of mites and traveled the world studying in England, Germany, Italy, Australia and Japan. Dr. Husband started the human anatomy class at Adrian College that allowed students to study with cadavers.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 22nd at noon at the Wagley Funeral Home in Adrian.
