Adrian, MI – Lenawee County Circuit and Probate Court Judges have decided to adjourn all of their jury trials through January 24th due to high COVID-19 positivity rates in…and around…the county.
In a statement emailed to court staff and the media earlier this week, Circuit Court Judge Anna Marie Anzalone said that the safety of their staff, the parties that appear in front of the judges, their attorneys, and potential jurors is always at the forefront of their minds, and must act accordingly.
The Court will reach out directly to counsel on affected trials. Circuit and Probate judges in Lenawee will continue to adhere to MCR 2.407, which states that courts are required to use remote participation technology to the greatest extent possible. Hearings will continue to be held remotely except for those that require being in person.
