Monroe, MI – A 38-year-old Monroe man died as a result of injuries from a single-vehicle crash over the weekend.
Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough reports that Randell Letellier was driving at a high rate of speed in Frenchtown Township around 10:50 Friday night.
He lost control, his car went into a ditch, and struck two utility poles.
Letellier was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, and was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Speed appears to be a factor, but it is unknown if intoxicating substances contributed to the crash.
Anyone with additional information should contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
