Monroe County, MI – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that took place at an apartment complex in Newport.
The shooting was reported to authorities at around 6pm Tuesday evening at the Newport Woods Apartment Complex.
The shooting just occurred in the parking lot of one of the apartment buildings… and witnesses indicated that the suspect fled the scene in a black Dodge Charger prior to deputies arriving on scene.
Nobody was struck by the gunfire and no one was injured during the incident. The individual believed to be responsible for the shooting has been identified as a 25 year old male from Newport.
The case remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
