Hudson, MI – Steven Hartsel, Manager for the City of Hudson, has decided to terminate his employment contract with the City of Hudson. Hartsel told WLEN News Tuesday morning that he sent a letter to the city late last week announcing his decision.
He elected to exercise a part of his contract that allows him to terminate the employment agreement “without cause.”
Earlier this year, Hartsel was placed on administrative leave and the City Treasurer was let go as the City, and the State of Michigan, investigate missing money from the Utilities Fund. The fund was at a deficit of $400,000 as of late May.
