Monroe County, MI – A head-on crash killed one in Monroe County on M-50 Friday night. Troopers from the Michigan State Police Monroe Post responded to the call at around 6pm near Dixon Road.
It was determined on scene that a Ford Taurus travelling westbound crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a Ford F-150, resulting in the F-150 to roll over multiple times.
The driver of the Taurus was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the driver of the F-150 was transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital by Monroe Community Ambulance with non-lifethreatening injuries.
The Monroe Post was assisted by personnel from Ida Twp. Fire Department, Dundee Twp. Fire Department, LMR Fire Department, Monroe Community Ambulance, and Monroe County Sheriff’s Department. The crash is under investigation by the Michigan State Police.
