Raisin Twp., Lenawee County – An arrest has been made in the Jessica Fox case. In March of this year, troopers from the Michigan State Police Monroe Post responded to a report that the 30-year-old female from Adrian was missing.
Jessica was last seen on March 21st, in Tecumseh. After an extensive search by members of the Michigan State Police and other area law enforcement agencies, a body was recovered from the River Raisin, near Tecumseh, on April 8th.
An autopsy was conducted by the Lenawee County Medical Examiner in early April, which determined that the cause of death was strangulation and was ruled a homicide.
After an extensive investigation, a person of interest was developed, and on June 24th, 33-year-old Christopher George Maurer from Adrian was arrested for the murder of Jessica Fox, along with other charges.
Court documents show that he entered ‘not guilty’ pleas today in Lenawee County District Court. His bond was set at $505,000.
