Tecumseh, MI – The Lenawee Intermediate School District Board of Education has appointed Rebecca Brooks to serve on the Tecumseh Public Schools Board of Education.
Brooks was appointed by a 4-1 vote at a special meeting of the LISD Board of Education on Thursday, April 22nd.
The LISD Board of Education was responsible for the appointment due to the TPS Board of Education’s failure to properly fill a vacancy, as required by Michigan Election Law. Brooks will hold office until a successor is elected in the 2022 general election.
The LISD received applications from five candidates, each of whom were interviewed: Rebecca Brooks, Lynne Davis, Joshua Mattison, Mary Tommelein, and Edward Tritt.
