Manitou Beach, MI – Tragedy on Devil’s Lake Saturday night at around 7pm as a snowmobile crashed into a fishing shanty, killing the fisherman that was inside.
Multiple outlets reported that the snowmobiler had only minor injuries, and that lake ice levels were not a factor. Police cannot confirm if alcohol was involved.
They were not able to release the name of the victim or the snowmobiler as of Sunday night.
The Devils Lake Men’s Club hosted their Tip-Up fishing competition and winter festival this weekend.
