Lenawee County COVID-19 Update: February 1st, 2021

Adrian, MI – The Lenawee County Health Department and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services continues to update to public on COVID-19.

There have been more COVID-19 vaccines administered in Lenawee than there have been total confirmed cases of the virus in the county.

There have been 8,691 vaccines administered in Lenawee… compared to 5,889 total confirmed cases.

Statewide on Monday, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported that there were 2,066 new confirmed cases from Sunday and Monday.

There were 8 new COVID-19 deaths reported statewide Monday, and there have now been 14,609 total deaths from the virus.

The Lenawee County Health Department reported on Monday that there were 69 new cases over the weekend, with 20 hospitalized, and 2 additional deaths… increasing the countywide total to 90.

The MDHHS reports that there have been 909,038 Michiganders administered a shot as of Sunday. As of Monday, there have been 561,307 total confirmed cases.

In Lenawee, 88% of the 5,889 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 are considered discontinued from isolation and improving with 10% of the total confirmed cases monitoring at home.
