Adrian, MI – Social media posts about possible shots fired near Monument Park in Adrian have been circulating online this week, so WLEN News contacted the Adrian Police Department to try to get answers.
In an email correspondence with Deputy Chief Laurence R. Van Alstine III, we are starting to paint an accurate picture of what’s going on in the area. Van Alstine said in an email to WLEN News that there has been an ongoing neighborhood problem between two groups living in the area of the park.
He said that the APD have been out the last two nights for disorderly people. At 10:53pm Tuesday night, officers were called out to the area of the park, near E. Maumee St., E. Church St., and Park Place for reports of shots fired. Officers were able to locate several disorderly people who were not forthcoming with much information. No one was injured in the alleged shooting. No damage was located as a result of any shots that were fired.
The Adrian Police Department is seeking warrants on several people for disorderly conduct.
