Adrian, MI – In an effort to make Adrian College as safe as possible, all students, faculty and staff will be required to receive a viral test for COVID-19 no more than seven days before arriving on campus for the start of the fall 2020 semester.
Adrian College is strongly urging students to have a test taken before arriving on campus. Students may also document a 14-day isolation if they choose not to take a test.
Students who are unable to get a COVID-19 test before arriving on campus will be tested during check-in. The College has partnered with Helix Diagnostics, located in the Henry Ford Medical Center, for nasal swab testing on Adrian College’s campus on specific days during move-in week.
Emily Kist, the director of the AC Student Health Center, said if anyone tests positive during check-in they will be told to self-isolate in a designated dorm room and monitor for symptoms for 14 days.
